Autobahn understands the importance of safety and preparedness for teen drivers, and our program aims to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the roads confidently.
Our program includes four hours of behind-the-wheel drills, giving teen drivers the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom and practice the skills in a safe, controlled environment.
Our instructors are professional race car drivers with years of training and experience.
During the program, your teen will learn and practice:
• Situational awareness
• Skidding on water or ice using the skid-car
• Accident avoidance and last-minute lane changes
• ABS and controlled braking
• Car maintenance, including a tire change
Skid car provided by:
Drivers must have a current driver’s license. Participant’s vehicle must be in safe operating condition subject to instructor approval. Skid Control Drill utilizes an Autobahn vehicle.
A special invitation to parents/guardians to participate in the activities. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in practice drills. This hands-on experience will provide valuable insights and help both teens and parents/guardians understand the importance of safe driving practices.
In addition to the educational aspect, we’ll be providing breakfast and lunch, ensuring that everyone is energized and ready for the day ahead.
And rest assured, there will be plenty of great conversation between you and your teen during the ride home, perhaps discussing how many times you spun the car!
