PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Autobahn Advanced Law Enforcement Driving Skills Program is designed to help law enforcement departments enhance their driving skills daily and for high-stress situations. This comprehensive, one-day program focuses on the specialized skills required for emergency response and pursuit driving, offering practical, hands-on experience in a safe controlled environment. The day begins with a catered breakfast and an engaging classroom session led by our Autobahn Driving Academy instructors, who bring extensive experience in advanced driving techniques. Participants will learn strategies for managing the unique challenges of law enforcement driving, including vehicle dynamics, emergency braking in wet conditions, and avoiding collisions during high-speed operations. In the morning, participants will complete four core driving drills focused on building essential skills. After lunch and a second classroom session, the training intensifies with time-course simulations that bring speed, adrenaline, and realism to the learning experience, preparing officers for real-world scenarios where split-second decisions and vehicle control are critical.
EMERGENCY BRAKING
Gain confidence in executing precise, controlled stops under high-pressure conditions. This drill focuses on managing sudden stops during pursuits or emergency responses while maintaining full control of the vehicle and surrounding environment.
COLLISION AVOIDANCE
Hone your ability to anticipate, recognize, and react to potential hazards during high-speed operations. This drill emphasizes quick decision-making and evasive maneuvers to avoid collisions in complex, high-stakes scenarios.
SKIDDING ON SLICK SURFACES
Develop the skills to maintain control of your vehicle in adverse weather conditions or during evasive actions. This drill enhances confidence and capability when driving on slippery or unstable surfaces.
SLALOM & BACKING DRILL
Refine your vehicle handling with advanced maneuvering drills focused on spatial awareness, speed control, and precision steering. Practice backing techniques to enhance your ability to respond effectively in tight, high-pressure situations.
AFTERNOON TIME-COURSE SIMULATIONS
